Star of "Clueless" Brittany Murphy Tragically Died Today

Ashton Kutcher sent a message on Twitter Sunday morning about Brittany Murphy's death: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine," Kutcher wrote. "My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon." That about sums up how we feel here at Celebrity Wire. Brittany Murphy was a beautiful and talented actress that was very loved in the entertainment community in Los Angeles and just about everywhere she went. She rose to fame in "8 mile" She worked with stars like Michael Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Angelina Jolie, Eminem and many other major talents. She also appeared in TV roles and in two films in 1999 -- "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Girl, Interrupted," for which Jolie received an Oscar. She also appeared in "Sin City", "Uptown Girls", "Don't Say A Word" , and "Just Married". She was married to British Screenwriter Simon Monjack. The Los Angeles County Coroner has said there were no suspicious circumstances regarding her passing but that they would conduct and autopsy over the coming days. It is a sad and tragic day for the Hollywood community to lose such a young and vibrant talent and we mourn her passing.

God Be With You!

Maybe Enough was Not Enough for Tiger Woods!

If you read our last blog we said "Tiger Woods may have had twenty affairs and he may have had (and more likely) closer to none" and that the whole Tiger story was getting too nasty and becoming a witch hunt. Well, we weren't technically wrong:) But just like Tiger Woods needs to do, we have to admit when we make a mistake. While we do not endorse piling on individuals for their personal issues this story has become more than just a witch hunt. It is a disaster for the PGA and the whole golf industry and it now will effect the livelihood of many, many people and the income of innocent hard working families that didn't have spouses with 13 affairs. Celebrity Wire also now wonders why it should support and speak out for Tiger Woods when he seems unwilling to do so for himself. At this point when you are having such a major effect on so many people and their economic lives it seems like total cowardice and wrong to go hide in your mansions and your yachts, as opposing to appear in person and just "Man UP'! So Tiger Woods it is now time for you to open your mouth and show your face and act like a responsible adult, instead of a sulking spoiled overpaid child. Do it for your family! Do it for your self respect! Do it for other Stanford Alumnni that you are now embarrassing! Nobody normal wants to see you or your beautiful wife Elin hurt of the game or golf tarnished any further, so now it is time to do the right thing and stop others from speaking for you by opening your own mouth!

Tiger Woods Story Ends: Enough Is Enough!

Celebrity Wire likes following or breaking an interesting story as much as any celebrity news service. The Tiger Woods accident ordeal certainly on its face seems to be an interesting story with probably a lot more intrigue than it deserves. Then on second thought.... This was an accident literally at a persons private residence which did not end up going farther than that. Let's ask: Shouldn't a celebrity have some privacy in their own home? But then where does that story end and a myriad of phony opportunistic stories begin. And they are beginning.... and beginning and beginning... I love the blogoshpere and the power of the web. But power should be used properly and with some caution when we are dealing with the lives of real people. You don't have to like Tiger Woods or his wife Elin or their innocent and nice children. But they are real people with real feelings that transcends money and fame! Now Celebrity Wire wants to call it out (even after joking about the real traffic story ourselves) that this is becoming a witch hunt and it is bullshit and irresponsible and disgusting!!!!! We have a responsibility as journalists to check our stories and to really verify our sources before WE VERIFY and put our name on a story. It is not enough to just get hits for our google ads or our sponsors. It is a responsibility to tell the truth to ourselves and to our faith. Otherwise where does it end and where do we ever draw the line? Tiger Woods may have had twenty affairs and he may have had (and more likely) closer to none. This is nothing but a circus now and it is just ugly. Why have we degraded ourselves as a people or as press to think that the best thing we can financially do is to try to destroy a life or a marriage or a family or a successful career of a celebrity or wealthy person for our own corporate attention. My parents used to simply call it jealousy, and I guess that is still what it is. It is a joy of bringing someone on a higher level than you are down to your level. It stinks and it sucks and it is a moral depravity of our system these days. It won't stop and nothing I write on this subject will likely matter much. I just hope we give some pause to our fellow celebrity sites just for a minute on this one. Take a minute and take a breath before you put it into print and try to make it all real whether it is or not. This was an accident story with some interesting twists that were very questionable and probably still is. But this was not an invitation for all of us to go out and ruin the life of someone that has been an asset to sports and society for many years. I did not ever get that invitation: so I refuse it. Celebrity Wire is done with this kind of story when it goes to that level. Tiger got a ticket for $160.00 he paid it and good luck to you and your family. We are out of this one!!!! Celebrity Wire does not hire or employ witch hunters and we hope our respected partners and blogroll partners think the same way.

Peace Out! Sphere: Related Content

Was Tiger Woods going to 7-11 for Golf Balls in the Middle of The Night?

Was Tiger Woods going to 7-11 for golf balls in the middle of night since his wife already had the clubs out? What was going on in Windemere in Orange County, Florida over the holiday weekend at the superstars home. Here is what we know and has been widely reported. Tiger Woods left his house in a rush at approximately 2:20 in the morning. We know he was in a rush because when people back out of their driveway while leaving home they don't usually hit a fire hydrant and a tree in the process. Then what we know is that Tigers wife Elin Nordegren came running out of the house with a golf club and supposedly smashed a window with it to save him because the car was locked. Now I know this is a famous golfing family but.... If you heard your husband or wife have an accident in front of your home would you run outside or would you first go get a golf club and run outside. Would you grab a key to the car or would you smash the window next to your already potentially injured spouse with a golf club? Then we know that the police department said no alcohol or drugs were involved. We also know from the Orange Police Department that no breathalizer or any such tests were taken on scene or apparently at all as they were only interested in tending to his injuries. It must be noted those included facial lacerations and that he was only semi conscious. However there was no determination when any of these injuries actually occurred. But what we know most is that the richest man in sports with a group of the worlds best press agents and handlers has been unusually silent with no good explanation over this whole event. Of course Tiger Woods is and always will be the greatest golfer of all time. He is also the Oprah Winfrey of the sports world and is an undisputed icon. But one of his greatest appeals in the ad world has always been his perfect (I am above it all) personality and reputation. He was never supposed to be the guy crashing on a front lawn in the middle of the night with his wife chasing outside with a golf club. It is just not the Tiger Woods perfect persona. Could it be the guy is possibly normal? Could he actually drink or maybe have a blowout with his wife. Our Friends at TMZ are reporting that Tiger Woods wife caused the injuries on his face. We cannot confirm that at Celebrity Wire as of yet but it is certainly possible. Nobody is talking at all so far on this one. My advise to Tiger and his press agents: come up with something good soon because people have very good imaginations. I know I have one and mine says you were just going to 7-11 for golf balls and you accidentally turned the wrong way. In any event we wish you and your family well and hope you have a speedy recovery. And BTW, it's OK to be normal as the rest of us already are! Sphere: Related Content

President Barack Obama Inauguration: A Remarkable day!

As most Americans I watched in awe and silence the inauguration of the the first African American President, Barack Obama. What a remarkable day this is for our country and all the citizens of the world. How far we have come as a nation and how far we have come as a people. We can only hope and pray that this will be a turning point for our country to move forward again. We can only hope and pray that this is a turning point for peace and prosperity. Most of all we can only hope that this is now the beginning of hope again.

With the exuberance of the moment I am struck by one continuing concern regarding the hope brought by a single man. We cannot operate on the hope and the promise and the ability of one person. We can only operate as a people and as a nation and through the lead and example of thousands of people that lead us on so many levels everyday. These are the public servants! The many people that set aside their personal needs and goals to think of our needs and dreams and those folks span the country and the globe and they are so much bigger than any one person. They embrace the commonality of God and the wishes from above and they cannot be measured by a speech or a celebrity or a song. Therefore let us not forget that whatever greatness that President Barack Obama has or will achieve that he is in fact another one of Gods children (like you and me) and he is most of all a public servant.

Celebrities are in our movies and television shows, sports and music and apparently now in politics. But we create a great danger for all of us when we make our President and our number one public servant our number one celebrity. We diminish the needs of people that count on our government to function properly when we "celebretize" our leaders in such a fashion that we forget who they really are. Barack Obama is the President of the United States. He is your president and he is my President and he is an employee of the people. He may be a celebrity but he is not a celebrity. Let's give Barack Obama all the respect he deserves and has earned as our 44th President of the United States, but let's not make him our commander and chief celebrity. He has enough to do and to live up to and a legacy that will outlast any single event.

Our job is to cover celebrities. That is what we do at Celebrity Wire. We cover Celebrity News and Entertainment. We will cover Barack Obama and we realize that today he is the worlds biggest celebrity. But we hope that tomorrow he will become less of a celebrity and more our needed President. That Barack Obama will from this point be more our nations leader and less our entertainment.

Today we celebrate a momentous occasion and tomorrow we go back to a nation of many issues. Today and everyday at Celebrity Wire we will enjoy Celebrity. We hope that for every ones sake that President Barack Obama's future celebrity will be that of peace and prosperity and love.

God Bless You,

The Celebrity Wire CEO and
everyone at Celebrity Wire Sphere: Related Content

Kate Winslet, Heath Ledger and Slumdog Millionaire

As we mentioned the late Heath Ledger was a favorite at the Golden Globes and he won for best supporting actor. We will certainly miss his talent in the future. Kate Winslet won the daily double for leading and supporting roles and once again shows why she is a continual acting force. I personally thought that the performance by Angelina Jolie in "The Changeling" was deserving of an award. No surprise for me on "Slumdog Millionaire". I have been telling friends and family since the day the movie premiered that this film would win best picture at the " Golden Globe Awards" and the "Oscars" and last night it swept the categories it was nominated for including "Best Picture". If you haven't heard of Slumdog Millionaire before or haven't thought of seeing it then I would highly recommend changing some plans and going soon. Mickey Rourke is the come back adult of the year with a best acting statue. It remains to be seen whether he can mature into a normal individual long enough to maintain the stardom that he now has a chance of achieving. He is certainly a talented actor and I hope this time his demons don't overshadow that immense future potential and talent. As expected the Hollywood Foreign Press pulled off another great Golden Globe Awards!

Golden Globe Awards & Hollywood Foreign Press

The 66th Golden Globes Awards is back tonight and it should be as good as or better than ever! This special is the Hollywood event of the year for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and it always brings out the A list celebs. Fortunately there is not a writers strike this year and we are back to all the glitter and glamour of awards season. The power and beauty couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are nominated for awards this year. Heath Ledger (who was so fabulous in the Batman movie "The Dark Knight") is nominated and his family is very excited and proud and he is a favorite to win for best actor in a supporting role. Tom Cruise, Ralph Fiennes, Robert Downey Jr, and Philip Seymour Hoffman are up for the same award and are all great! The very special Cecil B. DeMille Award, which will be given to Steven Spielberg, for his "outstanding contribution to the entertainment field", and of course that is well deserved. I understand Ann Hathaway (who is choosing her dates carefully this year) is coming with her lovely mother. Meryl Streep is going after awards for both "Mama Mia" and "Doubt". Overall this should be an amazing Golden Globes show and we at Celebrity Wire give the Hollywood Foreign Press high praise for this event and all the great work they do all year long!

So Thanks to the Hollywood Foreign Press and good luck to all the great Stars!!!

Bravo TV is a great place to watch; not to buy

I like the shows on Bravo TV and I think overall it is a pretty cool network. The shows on Bravo are somewhat innovative and they have a unique sense of marketing savvy. In fact someone very near and dear to me likes "Top Chef" a lot. For the holidays I decided to buy her some kitchen equipment and top it off with a full chefs coat from the show; Top Chef. I went to Bravo.com and gladly paid the $79.95 price for a monogrammed "Top Chef" kitchen jacket. I ordered it for two day delivery and two days came and went and it never came. Christmas and the holidays came and went and the Bravo TV order never came. In fact it took 18 e-mails from us before we even received a canned response. The bottom line is we never received the
Top Chef
order and we also were charged and have not received a refund yet after another series of unanswered e-mails. So my personal opinion is to watch Bravo TV but I would not order at the Bravo TV online store!

Jett Travolta is now in heaven

As reported by the Associated Press this evening John Travolta's teenage son, Jett, died in the Bahamas after falling ill and hitting his head at his family's vacation home. As a father I personally can't think of anything worse than living longer than my children. Everyone at Celebrity Wire extends their sincerest condolences to the Travolta family. John Travolta and Kelly Preston are fellow Florida residents and they are loved in the entertainment industry and as people in the community. They have done so much for others and charity and they truly do not deserve this deep unhappiness. I hope the media will extend them the privacy and courtesy they deserve. We are sure that your beautiful son is in heaven and that God has a special plan. Our hearts and prayers go out to your entire family.
